Notes: “Lovely clean juniper and citrus nose; elegant, pure, and crisp with smooth, silky texture and lifted flavors; fragrant and harmonious yet focused and complex with a long, vivid finish.”- TP. Made in Greenpoint with botanicals including Tuscan juniper, coriander, chamomile, citrus, Thai blue ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, orris root and elderberry. This locally made dry gin used 100% New York state grown organic wheat.

Greenhook Ginsmiths Old Tom Gin (375 ml)

Notes: Located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, Greenhook Ginsmiths is a small, artisan distillery owned and operated by Steven DeAngelo. Their custom made copper alembic still has been specially engineered to work under a Mercury Vacuum, which reduces the atmospheric pressure in the still and allows the spirit to be distilled at a lower temperature, producing a cleaner, more aromatic distillate.

Greenhook Ginsmiths Old Tom project began in 2012 through a collaboration with two of Brooklyns highly regarded bartenders: Damon Boelte and Maxwell Britten. They were instrumental in providing a bartenders perspective on creating an Old Tom Gin that would work perfectly for classic recreations of Old Tom Gin cocktails, as well as have a strong, lasting presence in the modern cocktail movement. The base of the Greenhook Ginsmiths Old Tom Gin is pot distilled grain, which is then distilled with juniper and other exotic spices inspired by the British Spice Trade of the prevailing period. This gin is aged for 12 months in ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Oloroso Sherry butts before bottled at a whopping 50.05% ABV (100.1 Proof).
