Andria Gvino Rkatsiteli

Andria Gvino Rkatsiteli is a clean, precise orange wine from the country of Georgia. Beautiful citrus and minerality dominate the palate, fading to chamomile and black tea characteristics and orange zest. Plentiful acidity works in tandem with the silky tannins.

Wine is made from bio/organically treated Rkatsiteli grapes. It's made in Qvevri with eastern Georgian traditional vinification method, with skins contact.

Wine is made 100% naturally, without any additives, without added sulfites, without clarification or filtration. That means that during storage appearance of sediment is to be expected. Appearance of sediment does not mean that the wine is spoiled or its quality is reduced. Sediment is a result of physical and chemical processes that goes in wines during ageing process.

Food Pairing: grilled chicken, Pernil, roasted white meats, rich cheeses

From the Andrias Gvino winery: "We are looking to have high quality wines, and compromise quantity for that. We do not irrigate our vineyards, do not use any fertilizers, and perform green harvest as well. For that reason, we have 3-4 times less crop in our vineyards than usual growers. After harvest, before crushing grapes, we sort them to crush only the best berries and remove not only Materials other than Grapes (MoG), but inferior quality grapes as well, that also decrease our yields. And finally, after fermentation completes, we do not press pomace, and take only free run wine, the rest is going to distillation of our fine grape whiskey, that we call Chacha in Georgian."
