This week's in-store tasting will spotlight two skin contact (orange / amber) wines that have completely different and very unique palates. Štekar winery, from Slovenia, produces a skin contact Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) that demonstrates an orange wine doesn't have to feel heavy or obtrusive while yielding a cornucopia of flavors.

From Languedoc, France, is a skin contact Viognier that ages in cement tank, and showcases a different side of Viognier. In this cuvée, Viognier feels lighter despite that the grapes macerate on the skins; a whisper of aromatics meander through pear and orchard fruit.
