Cantina Tonello Io Cloe

Io Cloe is Cantina Tonello's ode to Durella, the ancient indigenous grape of the Lessini Mountains. Grown on volcanic clay soils between Verona and Vicenza, the wine ferments in concrete and rests there for a full year before another year in bottle — time that softens the grape's fierce acidity into something bright and harmonious. The result is bone-dry and electrifying: green apple, lemon pith, river stone, and a whisper of lily, with a long saline finish that practically demands seafood.
