Casa Contini Cannonau di Sardegna Tonaghe

This Cannonau displays a vibrant ruby red color, with hues tending toward garnet with aging. The aroma is intensely aromatic, expressing elegant notes of morello cherry and red currant follow one another, closing with touches of blackberry jelly. On the palate, the Tonaghe Cannonau di Sardegna DOC is robust and well-balanced, fresh and sapid. The entry is smooth, with a rich tannic texture that blends well with the fresh acidity typical of this grape. The red fruit flavors expertly blend with notes of Mediterranean herbs and spice, leading to a long and pleasantly warm, floral finish.

The grapes were pressed and then fermented on skins for up to 10 days with soft pressings. The wine then aged in stainless steel and in the bottle for a few months.
