The 2015 Barolo Riserva Monvigliero is wonderfully deep and resonant, yet very much in the house style that favors classic, mid-weight structure. Succulent red cherry, cedar, tobacco and dried herbs open nicely with time in the glass as the 2015 shows off its soft curves and open-knit personality. In a word: terrific.
Aged for 30 months in Slavonian botti grandi followed by one month in stainless steel and then 40 months in the bottle before release.
