Domaine De La Tour Bandol Rose

Agnès Henry is the current winemaker, in this winery that has become her ancestral home. Her parents purchased the winery in the late '60s, and they began planting vines into the rocky soil. Agnès has been making wine for over 30 years, enjoying the solitude of the hilltop where her vines enjoying plentiful sun and little rain. She produces bold, structured, and elegant wines that express finesse and can age longer in the bottle. Agnès names her foudres after writers and philosophers: Baudelaire, Rimbaud, and others. Fermentation occurs in open top cement vats, and she pumps over occasionally to get oxygen to the yeasts. The wines rest in the vats for up to 8 months before bottling. The wines are not fined or filtered. Domaine de la Tour du Bon wines are traditional and unmanipulated, offering a pure and unique expression of Bandol.
