The Glantenay family has been farming premier cru Volnay for generations, and Les Brouillards is one of their finest parcels — vines up to 80 years old, situated alongside those of Louis Boillot on some of the most compelling land in the appellation. The 2021 vintage delivered wines of considerable tension and elegance: plums, red and black cherries, raw cocoa, dark soil, and a smoky top note on the nose, with silk-textured tannins and a long, lifted finish. Mineral and briny on the back palate, this is a Volnay built to evolve.
