Eterea Kripan Sasikume Rioja

Eterea Kripan Sasikume Rioja is a dry natural red wine that expresses cherry and cinnamon alongside red currant and cranberry on the palate; the electric acidity and flinty mineral tension lead to a sapid finish. The winemaker, Melanie planted the vines amongst peach trees in 2018 and uses horses to plow the land. Trousseau is locally called "Bastardo" and Sasikume means "Bastard" in the Spanish Basque dialect. The grapes ferment as whole clusters, gently crushed, in concrete tank. The wine is aged for one month on its fine lees before being racked and bottled.
