Fabrizio Vella Catarratto Orange

Fabrizio Vella farms organically near Marsala in western Sicily at 350 to 450 meters elevation, where sea breezes restrict yields and cool nights preserve the bright acidity in his indigenous Catarratto. The grapes are hand-harvested, wild-fermented in acacia barrels with five days of skin contact, then aged in stainless steel before bottling unfiltered with minimal sulfur. The result is a textured, apricot-golden wine of citrus, candied orange zest, orchard fruit, wild herbs, and a lively saline finish — one of the most accessible and genuinely delicious orange wines on the market.
