Fossil & Fawn Silvershot Vineyard Pinot Noir

Fossil & Fawn Slivershot Vineyard Pinot Noir is a dry, light red wine whose aromas express bright black cherry (think dry lollipops), ripe summer raspberry, and fresh blueberries. The palate features ample dark and red fruit balanced by subtle hints of brown sugar, smoky leather, wet stones, and mushroom forest floor earth. The body is light, framed with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a strong mineral backbone from the soil's ancient marine fossil composition. The grapes fermented with low-intervention in open-top fermenters. The wine aged for nine months in neutral French and Oregon oak barrels; it is unfiltered and unfined.
