Frug Gruner Veltliner 1L

Named after a lively 1960s dance and bottled in the traditional Central European 1-liter format, Früg is a collaboration between importer Jenny & François Selections and certified organic winemaker Josef Wurzinger in the southeastern corner of Burgenland. Grüner Veltliner from multiple organically farmed plots on gravel, chalk, and sandy clay soils is spontaneously fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation, rested ten weeks on fine lees, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is a highly drinkable, medium-bodied white of peach, apricot, green apple, meadow flowers, and a lively herbal finish — ideal with asparagus, seafood, or honestly anything on the table.
