Grounded is Josh Phelps's project built on long relationships with growers across his home state, and this Sauvignon Blanc draws from several of them at once. Fruit is picked in the cold early-morning hours, rushed to the press, and fermented cold in stainless to protect the aromatics. What lands in the glass is white peach, pomelo, lime zest, and a lick of crushed herbs, held together by real acidity and a dry, tensile finish.
