Guy Mousset Cotes du Rhone Blanc

Guy Mousset is the Côtes du Rhône label of the Mousset family's Clos Saint Michel estate, whose 20 hectares of alluvial pebble-terraced vineyards overlook the village of Sérignan-du-Comtat in the northern Vaucluse — a stone's throw from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. White Côtes du Rhône is rare, accounting for a small fraction of the appellation's production, which makes this blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette a genuine find. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve its aromatic freshness, it opens with an inviting nose of white flowers, peach, and apricot, with flavors of stone fruit and citrus on the palate and a rich, lingering finish. A Rhône white that punches well above its appellation level.
