H & H Rainwater Madeira

Henriques & Henriques is among the oldest and most celebrated producers on the island of Madeira, founded in 1850 by descendants of a family whose viticultural roots on the island reportedly stretch back to 1425. Today they own the largest single estate on Madeira — the 10-hectare Quinta Grande — and their age-statement varietal wines are regarded as benchmarks of quality. The Rainwater is a historically lighter, more delicate style of Madeira: made from 100% Tinta Negra, fermented and heated over 90 days of estufagem, then aged a minimum of three years in large casks. The result is medium dry, pale golden, and elegant — almond, orange zest, dried fruit, and subtle spice, with a clean, refreshing finish. Excellent as an aperitif, in cocktails, or alongside nuts and charcuterie.
