January Spirits Five Flower Gin

January Spirits was founded in 2020 by Jon Langley and Lucky Preksto, longtime New York City bartenders who spent the pandemic developing botanical spirit recipes in a home kitchen. By 2022 they partnered with Matchbook Distilling on the North Fork of Long Island to bring their vision to life. The Five Flower Gin is their signature expression: a build of 12 botanicals anchored by juniper, coriander, lemon peel, and angelica root, with bee pollen added for body and a full five flowers — marigold, chamomile, elderflower, lavender, and jasmine — giving it an earthy, vernal florality. All botanicals are macerated 24 hours in-tank before redistillation. Bottled at 90 proof after a two-week slow proofing, it is present enough for a Martini and textured enough for sours and fizzes.
