La Posta Pizzella Malbec

The Pizzella is a single-vineyard Malbec from Altamira in the Uco Valley, grown at nearly 4,000 feet altitude — one of the cooler, higher-elevation sub-zones of Mendoza known for structured, intense Malbec. A beautiful red and purple color with aromas of black cherries, dark fruits, dark chocolate and baker's spice. On the palate, the wine shows dense, dark berry and plum flavors along with hints of sandalwood and spice, and even a hint of violets in the finish — a full-bodied and well-structured wine incredibly full of life.

The winemaking uses 50% French oak barrels (10% new, the rest 2nd and 3rd use) and 50% stainless steel, aged for 10 months.
