El Jolgorio is a collective founded by the Cortés family in 2010, uniting sixteen mezcal-making families from ten different regions of Oaxaca, each bottle hand-marked with the mezcalero's name, village, agave age, and batch number. The Todos Santos Coyote is a rare special edition released to honor the life of Master Mezcalero Rafael Méndez Cruz, with 100% of proceeds directed to building a commemorative park in his home village of San Luis del Río. Made from Agave Coyote — a semi-wild variety of Agave americana that takes up to 16 years to mature — this is one of the most prized and limited expressions in the El Jolgorio range: earthy, complex, and vivacious, with notes of citrus, minerals, dried herbs, and a long, smoky finish.
