Hound's Tree Seneca Lake Riesling

Hound's Tree is the project of Alex Rosanelli, based out of the North Fork of Long Island and Brooklyn, with a philosophy of exploring New York's best cool-climate sites through single-vineyard bottlings. The Seneca Lake Riesling is sourced from select partner growers in the Finger Lakes — a region whose depth-driven lake-effect climate, glacially derived soils, and dramatic temperature swings are ideal for aromatic, high-acidity Riesling. Hound's Tree's approach emphasizes terroir transparency and minimal intervention, producing a wine of genuine site character: citrus, stone fruit, and floral aromatics with a mineral, tightly wound palate and refreshing acidity. A compelling small-production expression of one of New York's most important white wine regions.
