Lillet Aperitif Rose

The youngest of the three Lillets and the least reverent. Same architecture as the Blanc — 85% Bordeaux wine to 15% macerated citrus liqueurs, married in oak vats and handled like a Bordeaux thereafter — but built on a red-grape base that shifts the whole register toward fruit. Expect berries, orange blossom, and grapefruit rather than the Blanc's honeyed orange and pine resin. Serve very cold over ice with a wedge of grapefruit, or lengthen it with tonic or sparkling wine.
