Produttori del Barbaresco has a storied past that begins with the visionary Domizio Cavazza in 1894, who first bottled the noble Nebbiolo grape under the Barbaresco denomination. Despite closure due to economic policies in the 1930s, the cooperative was revived in 1958 by the village priest and nineteen growers. Their shared dedication has not only preserved the intimate relationship between land and vintner but also propelled Produttori del Barbaresco to international acclaim as a paragon of cooperative winemaking.

“82” is not only the privilege vintage in Bordeaux. It is pretty much the iconic vintage across Europe! The wine is ripe, quite weighty and beautifully silky on the palate with a full body and complex flavors of juicy dark berries, pipe tobacco, a little bit of ripened black cherry, and light leathery notes. The wine is impressively structured with medium-plus tannins. The finish is long with developed complexity. [Please decant for at least 5 hours.]
