Tenuta Hans' Rottensteiner's Kitz Bianco is a dry, lively mountain blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Müller Thurgau, the acidity reminiscent of the high altitude and the strong mineral thread derivative of the red volcanic rock of the Rottensteiner family's old vine vineyards. The front of the palate features grassy herbaceous notes, followed by bright light jasmine flowers, green apple skin, and lemony citrus. Drinking this lively dry, white blend evokes a sense of sitting in a mountain lodge in the Dolomites after a day's hike or ski. This grapes were farmed organically, and the vinification occurred in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
Food Pairing: Light meat starters, fish-based appetizers, soft cheeses, lean white fish, shellfish dishes, light pasta dishes, fresh vegetable and herb risotto, roasted turkey, herbal roast chicken, and roasted root vegetables.
