Dr. Fischer Steinbock Riesling

Dr. Fischer is a joint venture between two of Europe's most passionate winemakers: Nik Weis of St. Urbans-Hof on the Mosel and Martin Foradori Hofstätter of Alto Adige, who joined forces in 2014 with a shared obsession for Riesling. The Steinbock — named for the ibex that inhabits the steep Mosel slopes, and a wink at their flagship Bockstein vineyard — draws from select Mosel parcels grown on the region's characteristic blue slate. Off-dry with crisp, penetrating acidity, it opens with tropical pineapple and citrus backed by a stony, mineral spine. An ideal introduction to the magic of Mosel Riesling.
