Jamesport Vineyards East End Rose

Jamesport farms more than 60 acres on the North Fork and pours from a 165-year-old barn, on a spit of land held between the Long Island Sound, the Atlantic, and Peconic Bay — a maritime climate that keeps acidity intact. The rosé is 100% hand-harvested, whole-cluster-pressed Syrah, with peach, strawberry, and honeysuckle. Whole-cluster pressing rather than bleeding off a red fermentation is why it stays pale and precise instead of turning heavy. Dry, crisp, and about ninety minutes from the shop.
