João Pires Douro Vinho Tinto 'Bardino'

João Pires Douro Vinho Tinto 'Bardino' is a dry full-bodied red wine that has a fabulous range of fruity and earthy notes, leading you along a structured yet rolling palate. The tannins are firm, yet feel softened the the acidity, notes of eucalyptus and oak. Black cherry and pepper give punches along the mid- and end-palate. The more this opens up in the glass, the more round and delightful it feels. The grapes macerate for 15-20 days in controlled temperatures before fermenting in stainless steel. Aging occurs for 18 months in 225L, 3-year old barrique.
