Lothian Horny Owl Sauvignon Blanc

A dry wine, the 2024 Lothian Horny Owl Sauvignon Blanc offers alluring aromas of guava juice, warm oranges and blood-red grapefruit. A soft and juicy entry with refreshing, well-integrated acidity and a hint of perceived fruity sweetness to balance and add to the complexity. Beautiful mid-palate weight, the flavours exude clementine peel, ripe apple and guava pieces, and the finish is zesty and long.

Lothian Vineyards are located in Elgin, South Africa, surrounded by apple orchards, a low-key biodynamic influence on the grapes as you'll taste in this Sauvignon Blanc. The winery is run by master winemaker Richard Kershaw, who studied in Burgundy and brings a precise Burgundian technique to the winemaking. Horny Owl is cheekily named for the horned owls who reside and mate in the extensive animal preservation surrounding the vineyards.
