Maggie's Farm Spiced Rum

Maggie's Farm made the first commercially available craft rum in Pennsylvania since Prohibition, distilling on a Spanish-made copper pot still in the Strip District since 2013. All their rums ferment from turbinado — raw sugar rather than molasses — and the spiced expression layers in fresh-grated orange zest, Tahitian vanilla bean, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and allspice with no added sugar at all. That dryness is the whole point: most spiced rum is dessert, and this one is a spirit.

Cocktail suggestion: a proper daiquiri, a hot buttered rum, an elevated coquito.
