Meinklang Frizzante Osterreich Sparkling Rose 'Prosa'

Meinklang's Frizzante Rose 'Prosa' undergoes a short maceration, native fermentation started in stainless and finished under pressure, just off-dry, with raspberry, cherry, and wild strawberry over a faint grip of skin tannin.

Meinklang's seventy hectares of vines are one part of a large mixed farm on the Austrian-Hungarian border, where Angus cattle supply the manure for biodynamic preparations and the whole operation runs as a closed nitrogen loop. The winemaker originally made Prosa for her own wedding, wanting something light and easy to drink.
