Ricard Pastis Anise

Ricard® Pastis has the distinction of being the most cherished spirit in France, traditionally enjoyed as a cool, social apéritif. Though miles may separate you from the vibrant terraces of Marseille, with Ricard® you can still experience the leisurely French way of life, one relaxed sip after another. It's common in France to simply ask for a “jaune” and be presented with Ricard® Pastis. When water is added, it transforms into a cloudy, radiant yellow, reminiscent of liquid sunshine. Created by Paul Ricard in Marseille in 1932, the timeless secret blend includes exotic ingredients such as Chinese star anise, Syrian licorice, and Provencal aromatic herbs. Its flavor profile is a refreshing dance of licorice and star anise with undertones of fruit, wood, and spices, leading to a medium-bodied sensation and a lingering, agreeable finish. Awarded as an Exceptional Pastis at the International Review of Spirits Awards in 2014, Ricard® boasts a drier taste and higher alcohol content than its counterpart, Pernod.
