Textura Dão Pretexto Branco

Textura's Pretexto Branco is a dry white wine that expresses yeasty brioche, delicate aromas, and white fruit. On the palate, the fruit expresses citrus, with freshness and creaminess, followed by a long, dry, and saline finish. The grapes ferment and age in stainless steel, cement tanks, and 10% new barrels, and they age on their lees for 6 months.

Food Pairing: grilled squid with lemon and olive oil, ceviche of sea bass, oysters and shellfish, and meaty fish either pan-seared or grilled, rosemary chicken, goat cheese, pungent cheese, crunchy greens.

Textura is a family affair, initiated with a 2018 vintage. Marcelo Araujo, the patriarch, moved his family from Brazil to the Dão in Portugal, trading a career in investment management to a career in winemaking. Their winery sits in the location of a textile factory, surrounded by organically farmed vineyards.
