Des Jus et du Lien La Belle Excuse Pét-Nat Rosé (2023)

Sparkling Grolleau from the Loire Valley that has a natural musk on the front, but soon expresses dry rose petal and red berry notes after it opens up. The snappy acidity of this Pet-Nat makes it feel convivial as much as it can be consumed in a thoughtful moment. Des Jus et du Lien (the wine and the connection) is by Julien Rousselot, who used to tend bar at a popular wine bar in the Loire Valley. He was gifted a small parcel of old vines and chose to pivot entirely to wine making in the natural method.
