Diletta Tonello Veneto Marachelle Frizzante Bianco

Racy acidity, lemon peel, and wet stone are the dominating flavor characteristics. A lovely light effervescence dances around the palate, enhanced by the silky, unfiltered mouthfeel. Marachelle means "joke" or "prank" in Italian, which is Diletta Tonello's reference to this frizzante having 10% Chardonnay rather than 100% Durella. The wine is fermented in stainless steel with a second fermentation in the bottle using only natural grape must, and it sits on the lees for 3 months.
