Landhaus Mayer Rose

Landhaus Mayer's dry rose from the Zweigelt grape introduces a zippy, almost effervescent, acidity on the front of the palate that gives way to fresh red berries, wild strawberry, raspberry, and hints of citrus and spice. The crisp acidity and vibrant finish make it feel like a thirst quencher during the dog days of summer.

Landhaus Mayer is a historic Austrian estate, based in Vienna, where Beethoven once dined and stayed overnight while travelling. The winery was a tavern then, growing its vines out back and making their house wines from a motley of grapes–a gemischter satz or field blend. Vienna is one of the few cities that has vineyards growing in its city proper.
